san mateo, woodside, san jose catching a break right now before the line pushes to the east and the tri valley running more quiet than it was a couple hours ago. here is the first band coming through. this is the break that we are watching that may give us three or four hours of not so bad weather tomorrow as the showers briefly let up. the lows that has been spinning off shore, it will move over the bay area tomorrow, that will help the increase in instability. the low will cross mid afternoon tomorrow. here is the timeframe to watch. 9:00, 10:00 in the morning. in between rain bands we suspect. isolated showers but not nearly the kind of coverage we are seeing right now, as early as mid afternoon, the heating of the day, you will see had eavie showers firing up. we will be watching that. meantime around the rest of the bay area, ongoing showers and that's the case when you get the cool air loft moving through the bay area, looks like the showers will follow us monday morning and things will not dry out until monday afternoon as the low heads east of the bay area as we get to tuesday.

we are at 68% of average in san jose. we are fortunate that december was good, and some areas got half an inch to an inch but most area a quarter of an inch or less. in the mountains they are doing well. well over a foot of snow. some areas over 20 inches i'm hearing. and tomorrow we go into the pattern where it goes down the coast and when that happen it's will spin moisture back at us and bring us a chance of a shower and if it nudges east we'll have a thundershower. so we have a thundershower in the forecast as well. so tomorrow is an unsettled day. i think it looks like this afternoon, but with that chance of thundershowers. so this afternoon wasn't bad, it was cool and breezy, but with this system, here it is right here, you can see it at 10:00 a.m. tomorrow morning. and as it is rotating and going down, it is not going east, it is going down and so as it does, say at 4:00 or 3:00, and the models -- the models struggle with this type of pattern. so it won't take much for this all to nudge about 60 miles to the east a
